Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

Agreement

By creating an account or using VocaMemory, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

VocaMemory is an English vocabulary learning application. It provides word lists, spaced-repetition review, practice modes, and progress tracking. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information when you sign up, and let us know if you believe your account has been compromised.

Acceptable use

When using VocaMemory, you agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • Copy, scrape, or redistribute our content without permission.
  • Share your account with others or resell access to it.

Subscriptions and payment

New accounts include a free trial. After the trial, continued access requires a paid subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

You can cancel at any time. After cancelling, your access continues until the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are generally non-refundable except where required by law.

Cancellation and deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deleting your account ends your access to the service. See our Privacy Policy for how your data is handled afterwards.

Content and intellectual property

The application, its design, and its word lists and learning materials belong to VocaMemory. You receive a personal, non-transferable right to use the service for your own learning. Your own learning data remains yours.

Availability

We aim to keep VocaMemory available and working correctly, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service is provided on an “as is” basis, and we may perform maintenance or make changes that temporarily affect availability.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, VocaMemory is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used to harm the service or other users.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. If we make significant changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the application.
