VocaMemory is an English vocabulary learning application that uses spaced repetition to help people study and remember words. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

We collect only what is needed to run the service:

• Account information — your email address and username. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google.
• Learning data — the words you study, your answers, review schedules, and progress statistics.
• Preferences — your interface language, hint language, difficulty level, and theme.
• Payment information — subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
• Technical data — basic information such as your time zone, needed to schedule reviews correctly.

Your data is used to:

• Provide the learning experience and schedule your reviews.
• Show your progress and statistics.
• Manage your account and subscription.
• Improve the service and fix problems.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

We rely on a small number of providers to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Google — optional sign-in.

Each provider processes data only as needed to deliver its part of the service.

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. When you delete your account, it is deactivated immediately and you are signed out. Your data is retained so that you can restore your account if you change your mind. If you want your data removed permanently, contact us and we will handle it.

You can access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can also request a copy of the information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the address below.

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with our infrastructure providers using industry-standard protections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

VocaMemory is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page.
